“It's beautiful here and the restaurant is very good. I never fail to be amazed that sometimes hotel rooms have very few electrical outlets. In this case i had to leave my things to charge on the floor next to the door, and ended up sitting cross-legged over there to complete some emails for work. Not optimal. The lobby makes up for it a bit, with a cozy fireplace, and the friendly dogs out front plus the mountain trails for jogs really increase the quality of stay.”

“I stayed at Hotel Filippone for around eight months a few years ago while working in the area, and it was genuinely excellent. The hospitality was amazing, the staff were always welcoming, and Franco in particular was top tier. The food was fantastic and the service was consistently great. Everything was 10/10. A brilliant hotel with brilliant people.”

“An incredible location with authentic Abruzzese cuisine! We held a family event there over the summer, and the owner went above and beyond to ensure we were satisfied throughout the entire experience. We were seated outside in the front garden, and the quantity and quality of the food were beyond words. This venue also doubles as a hotel, perfectly situated at the edge of the Parco Nazionale d'Abruzzo. I would give it 7 stars if I could!”

“Nested in the small and quiet village of Gioia dei Marsi, the Filipone Hotel & Restaurant is a hidden gem. The hotel is clean and fresh, the staff / management is very polite, kind and accommodating. The room smelled clean all the time and the food served at the restaurant was delightful. Clearly this family knows how to run a business. I plan on going back on vacation this time as soon as possible.”
